"A Life Dedicated to Service"
Barbara Jean Holmes was born on March 23, 1957 to the Late Mary Lillie Holmes and James Wynn in Lenoir County. During the tenure of her life's journey, she accepted Jesus as her personal Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Since 1979, Barbara faithfully served as a Certified Nursing Assistant at St.Cabrini Nursing Facility in Dobbs Ferry, New York where she remained until her transition. Proudly, she was a woman that loved her family and her life was spent and dedicated to the service of others. She was a long-term and dedicated 1199 Union Delegate.
In Barbara's life, there were innumerable moments of climax but she will always be remembered for her infectious smile and warm heart.
However, in her leisure she loved to "bust a move" by dancing, preparing scrumptious meals, putting her green thumb to work by planting flowers, taking care of her pet goldfish and rabbit, hosting bible studies at her residence for the community, and most of all she loved God.
Mother's Day 2020 will never be forgotten. Sunday, May 10, 2020, Barbara Jean Holmes traded her earthly worries for a new home in glory where the wicked shall cease from the troubling and the weary shall be at rest.
