Biography

With saddened hearts, the staff of Swinson Funeral Services would like to announce the death of, 73 year old, Bishop Richard E. Artis of 5206 Sharon Church Road which passed to eternal rest on Thursday, May 24, 2012.

A Triumphant Homegoing Celebration will be held 1pm Wednesday, May 30, 2012 from Grainger Chapel C.O.C with The General Vice Bishop Malcolm A. Johnson officiating. Burial will then follow in the Pinelawn Memorial Park.

Visitation will be held from 3-5:30 from the Robert A. Swinson Jr. Memorial Chapel, and from 6-7pm from the Mt. Calvary Church of Christ at that time Masonic Rites will be performed.
