Callie Whitfield

Callie Whitfield, 91, of 505 Summitt Ave. passed away on Thursday, Feb. 24, 2011 at Harmony Hall Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.


Services will be Monday at Beautiful Valley F.W.B. Church at 11 a.m. Burial is at Southview Cemetery. Survivors include four sons, Glenwood Whitfield and Fred Whitfield of Washington D.C., Melvin Whitfield of Latham Md. and Benjamin Whitfield of Maryland; four daughters, Gloria Kilpatrick and Delores Thompson of Kinston, Barbara Parker of Maryland and Millie Williams of Georgia; 18 grand children; 23 great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Sunday from the Robert Swinson Jr. Memorial Chapel.
