Carolyn May

Swinson Funeral Services announces the death of Ms. Carolyn May,73, of 312 Warren Ave which went to her heavenly home on Thursday, May 19, 2011 at Lenoir Memorial Hospital.

Her life will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 26, from the St. Peter Church of Christ with Elder Tyrone Haney officiating. Survivors include son Derek O. May of New Jersey; daughters Carolyn Balknight and Frankie Wilson of Kinston and Shirley Washington, Arabia Banks and Roslyn Evans, all of New York; brother Wilbert Artis of Jacksonville; sisters Barbara Burden of Winterville, Robin Thorton of Grifton, and Penny Young of New York; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Visitation for Mrs. May will be held from 3-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 25, 2011 from the Robert Swinson Jr. Memorial Chapel.
