With heavy hearts, we, the Staff and Management of R. Swinson Funeral Services, along with the Moore Family, announce the transition of 93- year- old Mr. Charles Moore of 639 E. Lenoir Ave., Kinston, on Saturday, August 19, 2023, at UNC Lenoir Health Care.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, August 26, 2023, from the Robert Swinson Jr. Memorial Chapel. Burial will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, August 28, 2023, at the Eastern Carolina Veterans Cemetery in Goldsboro, NC.

Survivors include his Sons- Ray Charles Moore of Hookerton, NC, and Ronnie Moore of Philadelphia. Daughters- Gloria Owolo of Nashville, Tennessee, and Debra Canady of Kinston, NC. His brother is Willie Ray Jenkins of Pinetops, NC, and his sister is Bobbie Johnson of Charlotte, NC. Also left to cherish his memory are 8 grandchildren, relatives, and friends.
