The Staff & Management of R. Swinson Funeral Services  joins in sorrow with the family of Mr. Charlie Phillips, 71, of 721 McCaskill Dr. who passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at home.

Services are scheduled for Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Christian Fellowship Center. Burial will take place in the Browntown Memorial Cemetery. A public visitation will be held on Monday, January 30, 2017 from 4:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. from the Robert Swinson, Jr. Memorial Chapel.

Survivors include: wife, Brenda Phillips; one  daughter, Katina Phillips of Kinston, NC, one son Ernest Phillips of Kinston;  three brothers, James Harper of Virginia, Larry Harper of Georgia, Elton Harper of Kinston; five sisters, Hazel Phillips of Kinston, Nettie Best of Kinston, Darshell Snuggs of Ayden, Serena Clay of Virginia, and Brenda Martel of Maryland; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
