Clara Farrow

March 20, 1926 — June 20, 2008

Clara Lee Koonce Farrow was born March 20, 1926 in Jones County to the late Stephen H. Koonce and Elizabeth Ann Strayhorn Koonce. Two sons, James Farrow, Jr. and Michael Anthony Farrow preceded her in death.

After eighty two blessed years, Clara gave up her earthly keys to 110 Lower Street in Trenton, NC on June 20, 2008 and gained the keys to her eternal home in the Heavens.

Clara was educated in the Jones County public school system. In 1945, she married the late James Farrow of New Bern. Together, they had nine children and she became affectionately know to all as “Mother.” Mother was full of energy and she touched many lives. She worked tirelessly to ensure we secure and safe. Mother was also an avid reader as well as a teacher for her children.

At an early age Mother accepted Christ and joined St. Matthew A.M.E. Zion Church in Trenton, NC. As an avid reader, the bible was one of her most enjoyable books.
