Claude Smith III, 60, of 2203 Tower Hill Road died Monday, November 24, 2008 at Iredell Memorial Hospital in Statesville. Funeral service will held at noon on Satur-day, November 29, 2008 at Greater Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Alphonza Dudley officiating. Interment will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park. Survivors include wife, Contrina Smith of the home; sons, Dameion Smith of Greensboro and DaMarshall Smith of Orange, NJ.; daughter, Nicole Stanley of Kinston; mother, Willie Smith of Kinston; sisters, Margaret Joyner of Greenville, Lois Adeyemi of Washington, Ella Taylor, Lola Skin-ner, Mary Smith, Jon Washington, Frederica Smith and Sheila Smith all of Kinston, Gladys Smith and Deborah Little of Durham and Charmaine Edwards of Goldsboro; brothers, Robert Smith Jr. of Clemmons and James Smith of Kinston; three grandchildren and one great grandchild. Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, November 28, 2008 at the Robert Swinson Jr. Memorial Chapel.
