With heavy hearts, we, the Staff and Management of R. Swinson Funeral Services along with the Jones Family announce the transition of 94 year old Mrs. Daisy Simmons Jones of 1206 Morningside Drive, Kinston, on Thursday, March 14, 2025 at East Carolina Rehab. and Wellness in Greenville, NC.

Service will be held Saturday, March 22, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. from the Grove Park COC; burial will follow in Pinelawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025, from 4 to 6 p.m. from the Robert Swinson, Jr. Memorial Chapel.

Mrs. Jones is survived by two sons-Lawrence Jones of Anchorage, AK. and Gary Jones of Kinston, one daughter-LaVonda Jones of Virginia Beach, VA., two sisters-Edna Shackleford of California and Lyndia Venson of Arizona.
