Darneta Simpler Winstead

With heavy hearts, we, the Staff and Management of R. Swinson Funeral Services along with the Winstead Family announce the transition of 66 year old Mrs. Darneta Simpler Winstead of 515 Andy Lane, Kinston on Thursday, March 30, 2023 and ECU Medical Center in Greenville.

Service will be held Wednesday at 1:00pm from the Robert Swinson, Jr. Memorial Chapel, burial will follow in the Southview Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 from the chapel from 4 to 6pm.

Mrs. Winstead is survived by  one son-Jimmy Simpler of Kinston, one daughter-Starlette Winstead of Kinston, one brother-Frederick Simpler, Jr. of Shreveport, Louisiana, one sister-Betty Simpler of LasVegas, six grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
