Elton Grainger

Elton Grainger, Sr., 72, of 3281 Middle Street (Grainger Station Community) died on Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at 11 AM from Grifton Chapel COC with Bishop Edward Pollock officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Dorothy Moore Grainger of the home; two surviving children, Mr. Elton Grainger, Jr. of Burlington, NC and Nicole Grainger of Lithonia, GA; two surviving devoted sisters, Francis Sampson of Vanceboro, NC and Paulette Greene of Kinston, NC; and two grand puppies, Mr. Chopsticks Grainger and Mr. Teddy Grainger, as well as a host of nephews and nieces. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 12, 2010 from 3-8 PM at the funeral home. Arrangments are entrusted to Swinson Funeral Service, Inc.
