Mr. Garder of 1446 Cimmiron Parkway passed away on Monday, Feb. 28, 2011, at the VA Medial Center in Durham.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 5, 2011, at 1 p.m. at the Robert Swinson Jr. Memorial Chapel. Bishop Malcolm S. Johnson will be officiating. Burial will follow at Southview Cemetery. Survivors include his mother Joyce of Grifton, step-father Tyrone Garris of Grifton, brother Calvin Johnson of Goldsboro and sister Javona L. Dixon of Hopewell, Va. The family is receiving friends at 418 Olive Branch Blvd., Grifton. Visitation will be held today from 4-8 p.m. in the Robert Swinson Jr. Memorial Chapel.
