Swinson Funeral Services announce the death of Ms. Gail Murphy, 54, of 546 Hillery Stewart Lane, which passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2011, at Lenoir Memorial Hospital.

A homegoing celebration will be 2 p.m. Friday, May 6, from the St. James AME Church with Bishop Malcolm S. Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. Survivors include her husband, James Murphy of the home; mother Elizabeth Murphy of the home; sons Clifton Williams of Maine, Titus Williams of Cary, Timothy Williams of Kinston, and Marcus Williams of Deep Run; daughter Lena Williams of the home; brothers William Williams and Thomas Williams of Trenton, Henry Williams and Edward Williams of Kinston; sisters Mary Williams and Kitty Williams of Brooklyn, N.Y., Loretha Kornegay, Patricia Moore and Gloria Skinner, all of Kinston. Visitation will be held from 3-8 p.m. Thursday, May 5, at Swinson Funeral Service.
