The Staff & Management of R. Swinson Funeral Services and the Stackhouse family regretfully announces the transition of 90-year-old, George Stackhouse, of 2124 Oakridge Pl, who passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2020, peacefully at home

Services will be on Friday, December 18, 2020, at noon by invitation only at Robert Swinson, Jr. Memorial Chapel. Burial will take place in the Pinelawn Memorial Park following the funeral service. A public visitation will be held on Thursday, December 17, 2020, from 4:00 PM-6:00 PM from the Robert Swinson, Jr. Memorial Chapel.

George Wallace Stackhouse, 90 of 2124 Oakridge Place, died Sunday, December 13, 2020, at his home. Service will be held Friday, December 18, 2020, at noon from the Robert Swinson Jr. Memorial Chapel. This is by invitation ONLY. Burial to following in Pinelawn Memorial Park. He is survived by his wife – Minnie Stackhouse of the home; nine sons, Donald Ray Mitchell ( Martha ) of Kinston, James Earl Dawson ( Deloris)  of Washington, DC, Thomas Dawson (Lucinda) of Kinston, Robert Dawson of Washington, DC, Avery Dawson of Washington, DC, Gregory Dawson, (Elaine) of Rex, GA, James Willis Stackhouse (Shlisa) of Durham, Antonio Dawson (Kimberly) of Rex, GA, Jerry Stackhouse (Ramirra) of Nashville, TN; one daughter, Mary Thomas ( Frank) of Washington, DC; nineteen grandchildren; twenty Great Grandchildren; and one Great Great Grandchild.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Minnie P. Stackhouse Diabetic Unit of UNC Lenior HealthCare
