Georgianna Atkins

Ms. Atkins passed away Sunday August 29, 2010 at Lenoir Memorial Hospital. Funeral Services will be held 2:30 pm Sunday September 4, 2010 at Bryany Holy Tabernacle Church in Browntown with Pastor Richard Darden offciating. Inerment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Survivors include her husband, Hudie Atkins of the home; sons Hudie Atkins Jr. of Ayden, Nelson Atkins of Asheville, Ervin Atkins, Edward Atkins, Gerald Atkins and Stacy Atkins of La Grange; daughters Diana Wade of Michigan, Vera Holmes of Kinston, Karen Myers of Georgia and Patricia Hardy of Washington, D.C.; brother James West of Charlotte; sisters Daisy Morton of Maryland and Esther Edwards of New York; 18 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 3-8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 4, at Swinson Funeral Service.
