Griffin Keyes

Griffin Keyes Sr., 79, of 511 N. Queen St., Apt. 7-I, departed this life Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro. The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Swinson Funeral Service with the Rev. Benjamin Brunton officiating. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Martha J. Keyes of the home; daughters Christine Cox of New York, Mary Whitfield, Susie Keyes, Charlene Green, and Arlene Green, all of Kinston, Ma-mie Bryant of Dover, Angela Hall, Leslie Sutton and Patricia Joyner, of La Grange; and brother, James Keyes of Carrboro. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 13 at the funeral home. Professional services entrusted to Swinson Funeral Service.
