Haywood Thompson

Haywood Thompson, 64, of 2102 Towerhill Road, died Sunday, November 16, 2008, at Lenoir Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, November 21, 2008, at the United America Free Will Baptist Tabernacle with Bishop Ronald R. Mayo officiating. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Delores Thompson of the home; one son, Tommy Thompson of Durham; three daughters, Tonia Thompson of Morrisville, N.C., Tracy Batts of Garner, N.C., and Dionne Wiley of Bos-ton, Mass.; three brothers, Emanuel Thompson of Washington, D.C., Andrew Grady of Kin-ston and Nathaniel Langston of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Emma Doris Sutton and Bertha Gooding, both of Kinston; and four grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 3-8 p.m. Thursday, November 20, 2008, at the Robert Swinson Jr. Memorial Chapel. Funeral ar-rangements by Swinson Funeral Service.
