Mrs. Hazel Thomas, 62 of 1006 Jamestown Court died Tuesday June 2, 2009 at Kinston Rehabilitation Healthcare Center. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday June 6, 2009 at 2 PM from the Sandhill Free Will Baptist Church in Kinston with the Rev. Nathan C. Darden Officating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Survivors include 3 sons Johnny Thomas, Theodore Thomas, and Elijah Thomas all of Kinston, daughter Esther Ratcliff of Kinston, 2 brothers John Lewis Parker of Raleigh NC, and Elisah Parker Jr. of Kinston, 3 sisters Evangeline Smith of Brooklyn NY, Floretha Toodle of Durham NC, 6 grandchildren, Kierra, Jamal, Rico, Jerome, Lavata, Shawn and 3 great grandchildren. Viewing will be held on Friday June 5, 2009 3 PM to 8 PM at the funeral home. Arrangments by Swinson Funeral Service.
