Iris Yvonne "Toot" Briggs

With heavy hearts, we, the Staff and Management of R. Swinson Funeral Services along with the Briggs announce the transition of 85 year old Miss Iris Briggs of 711 W. Washington Ave., Kinston, on Monday, October 9, 2023 at her home.

Service will be held 12 noon Tuesday, October 17, 2023 from Faith and Deliverance Church, burial will follow in the Vause Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Monday, October 16, 2023 from 4 to 7pm from the Robert Swinson, Jr. Memorial Chapel.

Miss Briggs is survived by her daughters-Barbara Hardy, Shirley Briggs of Kinston and Katrina Jones of Massachusetts, one sister-Dorothy McCoy of Dorchester, Massachusetts, eight grandchildren and host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends
