The Staff & Management of R. Swinson Funeral Services joins in sorrow with the family of Mr. James Brown, 86 years old, of 2150 Hull  road, passed away on Friday, June 17, 2016 at the North Carolina Veterans Home in Kinston.

Services will be held on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at 1:00 PM from Immanuel Baptist Church 712 Airport Road Kinston, NC.Visitation will be held one hour before the service from 12:00-1:00 PM at Church. Burial will take place in the Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Amelia Va on Friday.

​Survivors include: daughters, Elaine Brown, Vina Brown-Dawson of Richmond Va.,Cetra Brown of Baltimore, MD, Joi Lemon (John) of Kinston. Sons James Brown, Jr. of Washington, DC. Charles Brown of New Jersey; Sister Marion Bell and brother Daniel Brown; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
