James E. Tuggie Marshburn III, 68, of 6921 Smith St. died Wednesday Dec. 24, 2008, at Lenoir Memorial hospital. Funeral Services will be held at noon Monday, Dec. 29, 2008, at the Grifton Chapel Free Will Baptist Church in Grifton with the Rev. J. L. Wilson officiating. Burial to follow in Evergreen Memorial Estates. Survivors include his wife, Hattie Dixon-Marshburn of the home; mother Katie Miller of Kinston, two sons, Michael Coward of Maryland and Kevonte' Wilson of the home; step-daughter Desiree' Bynum of Kinston; brother Carlyett Marshburn of New York, three sisters, Faye M. Smith of Chicago, Florentine Miller of Chapel Hill, and Veronica Miller of Kinston; and one grandchild. Viewing will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Robert Swinson Jr. Memorial Chapel. Remains rest in the care and comfort of Swinson Funeral Service at 208 E. Blount Street, Kinston, North Carolina.
