Mr. Jesse "Rabbit" Arnold, 66, of 1514 Bonnie Lane, departed this life Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2010, at his home. A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 18 in Hickory Grove C.O.C. with Bishop Malcolm S. Johnson officiating. Burial will take place in Hickory Grove Cemetery. Survivors include wife Hazel Arnold of the home; daughters Bernice Clark, Suretta Thompson, Tenechia Cooper and Wilfredo Cooper of Kinston, Trisha Crump, Peggy Crump and Teresa Crump of New York; sons James Clark of Savannah, Ga., Anthony Parker and Eddie Skinner of Kinston and Earl Crump of New York; sisters Teresa Hargrove, Rosa Mary Wilson, Janice Bryant, Velma Chadwick and Carrie Louise Cannon of Kinston, Carrie Peggy Greene of Jacksonville, Shirley Arnold of Silver Spring, Md., and Brenda Arnold of Washington, D.C.; brothers George Arnold, Herbert Arnold, Malory Arnold, Michael Smith, Herman King and Albert Cannon of Kinston; 25 grand-children and five great-grandchildren.
