With sorrowful hearts, the staff of Swinson Funeral Services would like to announce the death of 100 year old, Mr. Jessie Daughety, better known as Kinston's first female taxi driver, which passed away on Monday, December 26, 2011 from the Lenoir Memorial Hospital.

A celebration of life will be held noon Friday, December 30, 2011 from the St. Peter FWB Church with Rev. Arthur Loftin officiating. Burial will follow in the Sandhill Church Cemetery.
