Jessie Koonce

Jessie Koonce, 74, of 206 w. Trent St., passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2011, at home.

His services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 23, at Haughton Chapel FWB Church with Apostle David Resto Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in Haiti Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Sadie Koonce of Kinston; father Roosevelt Koonce of La Grange; sons Donald White, Danny Koonce, and Bobby Koonce, all of Kinston, Jessie D. Koonce of Trenton and Kerry Koonce of Virginia; daughters Sadie C. Graham of Kinston, Sharon White of Dover and Cynthia Jones of New Bern; brother Samuel Koonce of La Grange; sisters Mary Alexander of New York, Juanita K. Joyner of Denver, Colo., Barbara Johnson, Evelyn Graddy, Alfreda Williams, Eltweena Fields and Nattie Whitfield, all of La Grange; 19 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 2-8 p.m. Friday, April 22, at Swinson Funeral Service.
