Mr. Jessie Newman, 91 of 1405 Holman Street departed this life Monday December 21, 2009 at Lenoir Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Saturday December 26, 2009 at 1 PM from the Greater Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Wilbert B. Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Southview Cemetery. He leaves to cherish his loving memory 1 daughter Joyce Curry Johnson of Kinston, 2 sisters Eva Winfield of Kinston and Cora Mackey of Maryland, 1 granddaughter Georgette Curry of Morrisville NC. Viewing will be held on Friday December 25, 2009 6 PM to 8 PM at the funeral home. Professional services entrusted to Swisnon Funeral Service.
