John Swinson

John David Swinson, 72, of 107 E. Peyton Ave., died Sunday, April 5, 2009, at home. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 9 at Swinson Funeral Service with the Rev. John Marks officiating. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Swinson of Kinston; sons Bernard Bowden of Kinston and Terry Swinson of Virginia; daughters Loubertha Ricks of Virginia and Carlette Swinson of Kinston; sisters Minnie Lewis of Goldsboro, Thelma Kennedy and Estelle Isler of Kinston; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandchild. Visitation will be held from 3-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 8 at the funeral home.
