Mr. Kenneth Earl Smith, 71 of 640 E. Washington Ave. departed this life Friday February 12, 2010 at Lenoir Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Thursday Feb. 18, at 12 Noon from Alpha and Omega Church with Bishop Elaine Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in the Southview Cemetery. He is survived by 3 sons Cornell Daugherty of New Jersey, Kenneth D. Smith of Georgia, Tony M. Smith LaGrange NC, 1 daughter DiTeal Smith of Kinston, 2 sisters Bettie S. Williams of Kinston and Bishop Elaine Edwards of Kinston, 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Viewing will be held on Wednesday February17, 2009 4 PM to 8 PM at the funeral home. Arrangements entrusted to Swinson Funeral Service.
