With heavy and sorrowful hearts, we, the Staff and management of R. Swinson Funeral Services, announce the transition of 84-year-old Mr. Lazarus Simmons of Washington, D.C., who entered into eternal rest on July 12, 2024. 

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 27, 2024, from the Robert Swinson Jr. Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow the services at the Hickory Grove COC-DOC Church Cemetery in Lenoir County, NC. A viewing from the funeral home will be held Friday evening from 5 to 6 p.m.
