Mr. Leander King, 67 of 3236 Grainger Station Road departed this life on Sunday August 16, 2009 at Lenoir Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Friday August 21, 2009 at 1 PM from the Savannah Free Will Baptist Church with Pastor John Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Southview Cemetery. Survivors include 3 sons Leander King of NJ, Derius Dove of Baltimore MD, and Derrick Moore of Durham NC, 1 brother Lynwood King of NJ, 2 sisters Essie Shepherd of LaGrange and Wilhelmenia McCall of Durham NC 2 Grandchildren. Viewing will be held on Thursday August 20, 2009 3 PM to 8 PM at the funeral home. Professional Services entrusted to Swinson Funeral Service.
