Mr. Leo Whitfield 76 of 511 N. Queen Street departed this life Thursday May 27,2010 at Kindred Healthcare in Kinston. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday June 2, 2010 at 1 PM from the St. Peter Church of Christ Disciples of Christ with Rev. Tyrone Haney officiating. Burial will follow in the Southview Cemetery. He leaves to cherish his loving memory his wife Pecolo Whitfield of the home, 1 son Carl Cox of Kinston, 3 daughters Joan Wyche, and Rita Dove both of Kinston, and Linda Jackson Boston MA, 2 brothers Andrew Whitfield Sr., Johnny Whitfield both of LaGrange NC, 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Viewing will be held on Tuesday June 1, 2010 3 PM to 8 PM. Professional services entrusted to Swinson Funeral Service.
