Lewis Coward

Lewis Coward, 83, of 416 Georgetown Road, died Monday, March 9, 2009 at his home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 14, 2009 at 1 p.m. at St. James AME Church with the Rev. J.F. Clark officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Hill Memorial Gardens. Survivors include sisters Wilhelmina Nobles of Richmond, Va., Martha Sutton of Kinston, Orjnell Covington of Newark, N.J. and Margaret Gray of Washington, D.C; brothers Dennis Coward, Charles Coward and Felix Coward, all of Kinston. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 13, 2009 at the Robert Swinson Jr. Memorial Chapel. Swinson Funeral Service is assisting the family with arrangments.
