Mamie Stanford

Mamie Lee "Red" Stanford, 94, of 608 E. Caswell St., departed this life Wednesday, December 23, 2009, at Kinston Assisted Living Center. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2009, at 2 p.m. from the Swinson Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Larry Lynch officiating. Burial will follow in the Southview Cemetery. She leaves to cherish her loving memory one son, Preston Stanford of New York; two daughters, Brenda Koonce of Kinston and Sheryl Hill of Georgia; four grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Viewing will be held Monday, December 28, 2009, from 3-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Professional services entrusted to Swinson Funeral Service.
