Marvin Parker

Mr. Marvin Ray "Bay Bro" Parker as he was affectionately called by most was called home by our heavenly father on Sunday April 18, 2010 seventeen days after his 57th Birthyday. Marvin was preceded in death by his father William Alfred Parker Sr., his sister Colita Parker-Glivens(H. Hecules), his paternal grandparents Martin and Tinnie Parker and Maternal grandparents T. R. and Neva Jones and step grandmother Ms. Ossie Jones. To cherish his memory he leaves his only begotten child, his son Eric T. Gray of Washington, DC; his devoted mother Neta Jones Parker of Maryland, four brothers; Jeffery J. "Jay Jay" Parker (w. Ivy), William of Raleigh, NC, two sisters; Alfreda Parker Lopes (h. Jerome) of Maryland and Renata Michelle Parker Fields (h. Leroy) of Kinston NC, He also leaves two aunts Gladys Jones Venters and ReEster Parker Holmond, two uncles; Lonnie Jones (w. Heidi) of Chicago, and a host of nieces nephews, cousins and really dear friends, including his very best friend and partner in conception, Patricia Gary "Boo" of Washington DC. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2010 at 1PM at the United American Free Will Baptist Tabernacle on University Street in the historic Lincoln City Community. Immediately following burial at the Southview Cemetery. Repast will take place at the Tabernacle. Rev. Preston Harris will officiate the service. Viewing will be held on Friday April 23, 2010 4 PM to 8 PM at the funeral home. Professional services entrusted to Swinson Funeral Service.
