Mattie Darden

Mrs. Mattie Darden, 85 of 511 N. Queen St. departed her life Saturday June 19, 2010 at Lenoir Memorial Hospital. A Homegoing Celebration will take place on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at 2:00 PM from the Jones Tabernacle FWB Church with Bishop W. E. Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the Holly Hill Church Cemetery. Survivors include her granddaughter, Vontina Thompson of Kinston, NC and stepdaughter, Hilda Odham of Greensboro, NC. Public visitation will take place on Tuesday, June 22 from 3-8 PM at the Robert Swinson, Jr. Memorial Chapel.
