With heavy and sorrowful hearts, we the Staff and Management of R. Swinson Funeral Services join with the Arthur family, in announcing the transition of Morris Arthur of 518 Sherman Road, Kinston, NC who entered into Eternal rest on September 7, 2024 at Signature Healthcare of Kinston. 

Services will be held at noon Thursday, September 19, 2024, from the Robert Swinson Jr. Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow the services in the Eastern Carolina Veterans Cemetery. Public visitation from the Funeral Home will be held one hour before funeral time on Thursday. 

Mr. Arthur is survived by five sons-Morris Arthur, Jr of Georgia, Roland McCrae, Derrick Arthur of Washington, DC, Johnathan Gibson of New York and Pernell Gibson of South Carolina, three daughters-Smokett Elwood of Fayetteville, NC, Cicely Gibson of Washington, DC and Deanna Degrace of Boston, Ma.
