The Staff and Management of R. Swinson Funeral Services mourn with the Kornegay &Best families on the transition of Nellie Ruth Best of 1702 Green Park Ter. who passed away on Sunday, June 27, 2021 at Carolina East Medical Center in New Bern.

Services will be on Thursday, July 1, 2021, at 1:00 PM at the Robert Swinson, Jr. Memorial Chapel. Burial will take place in the Southview Cemetery following the funeral service. A public visitation will be held one (1) hour before service.

Nellie leaves to cherish her beloved memory: her mother, Pearly Mae (Kornegay), her son, Woodrow Best; daughters, Deena P. Best Rufus, Demetra Best Hinton, Margaret Lovick; brothers, Kenneth Kornegay, Isaac Kornegay; sisters, Lucinda Kornegay Dawson, Lyndia Howard, Dorothy Dunn, Barbara Dunn and Mary Lovick.
