Olivia Strong

Mrs. Olivia Strong, 96, of 309 W. Hooker St., Hookerton, N.C., departed this life Friday, January 8, 2010, at Lenoir Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 14, 2010, at Star Zion African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church in Hookerton with Dr. Margaret Blackman officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Memorial Gardens, Kinston. Survivors include her son, James Strong of Kinston; one daughter, Lucy Lane of Snow Hill; three sisters, Valera Miller and Eloise Sutton of Kinston, Mary Jones of South Carolina; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 21 great-great-grandchildren.
