With heavy hearts, we, the Staff and Management of R. Swinson Funeral Services, along with the Bowen and extended Family, announce the transition of 90-year-old Mrs. Ruth L. Bowen of 702 N. Independence Street Kinston, on Thursday, June 8, 2023, at ECU Hospice Care in Greenville, NC.

A Homegoing Celebration from the St. Augustus AME Zion Church will occur at 1:00 pm Saturday, June 24, 2023. Burial will follow the service at Southview Cemetary. A public visitation will be held from 4 to 6 pm Friday, June 23, 2023, from the Robert Swinson Jr. Memorial Chapel.

Left to cherish her memory are a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and other relatives & friends.
