Ruth Phillips

Ruth C. Koonce Phillips, 85, of 9-A Kinston Towers, died Saturday, Jan. 10, 2009, at home. The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 16 at Swinson Funeral Service with the Rev. Benjamin Bruton officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Estates, Grifton. Survivors include brothers Sylvester Koonce and Clarence Koonce of Kinston; and sisters Inez K. Washington and Martha Baker of Kinston. Visitation will be held from 3-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 15 at the funeral home.
