Vera Russell

Mrs. Vera Russell, 58, of 112 E. Grainger Ave. died Sunday, April 25, 2010, at Lenoir Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 1, 2010, at 11 a.m. from the River of Life Church with Rev. Arthur Loftin officiating. Burial will follow on Monday, May 3, 2010 at Southview Cemetery. Survivors include daughter Vonetta Russell Cartwright of Dallas, Texas; son Donald Ray Russell Jr. of Atlanta, Ga.; brothers Joseph battle, Larry Battle and Harry Battle, all of Kinston, and Willie Battle of Richlands; sister Lorraine Cook and Robin Sutton, both of Kinston, and Emma 'Carol' Williams of Englewood, N.J. Viewing will be held on Friday, April 30, 2010, from 3 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Professional services entrusted to Swinson Funeral Service.
