Swinson Funeral Services announce the death and funeral Services for Mr. Vernal Harvey,57, of 3927 Jefferson Davis Hwy which passed away on Tuesday May 3, 2011 at the Veterans Hospital in Richmond Virginia.

The funeral will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, May 7, at Temple of Deliverance Church with Pastor Robert Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Alice Harvey of the home; daughter Denise Briggs of Richmond, Va.; brothers James Harvey of California, Willie Harvey of Kinston, Justin Harvey of New Jersey and Ray Harvey of Maple Hill; sisters Mettie Seaborn of Richmond, Va., Daisy Stemmons, Yvonne Miles and Joyce Mills, all of Kinston; and one grandchild. Visitation will be held form 3-8 p.m. Friday, May 6 at Swinson Funeral Service.
