With heavy hearts, we, the Staff and Management of R. Swinson Funeral Services along with the Boone Family announce the transition of 70-year-old Veronica Boone of 704 Doctors Drive Apt. A, Kinston, NC 28501. who transitioned on October 24, 2024, at ECU Health Hospice Care- Greenville, NC. 

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 2, 2024 from the St. Augustus AME Zion Church. Burial will follow the services in the Pinelawn Memorial Park. A public visitation will be held from 4 to 6 pm Friday November 1, 2024, from the Robert Swinson Jr. Memorial Chapel.

Ms. Boone is survived by one son-Jesse Stokes of Newark, NJ, two daughters-Christina Stokes of Concord, NC  and Crystal Stokes of New Jersey, three brothers-Raymond Boone and Phillip Boone of New Jersey and Norman Boone of Arizona, three sisters-Loretta Smith of North Carolina, Pamela Boone and Paula Boone of New Jersey, eight grands and four great grands.
