Vickie Marks

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved staff member, Mrs. Vickie Marks, 50, of 1408 Desmond Street. She went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 2, 2010.The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 7 at Antioch U.A.F.W.B. Church with Pastor William Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. Survivors include her husband, the Rev. John Marks of the home; sons Charles Womack III of Raleigh, John A. Marks III of Kinston and Stephen Marks of Virginia; daughters Marketa Marks and Toya Marks of Kinston; brothers Jesse Cameron of Georgia and Sidney Akins of Sanford; sisters Rena Cameron-Ray of Bunn Level, April Akins of Connecticut; and two grandchildren. Visita-tion will be held from 3-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 6 at Swinson Funeral Service. Arrangements entrusted to Swinson Funeral Service, Inc.
