Wanda Ann Barnes

With heavy hearts, the staff and management of R. Swinson Funeral Service and the Barnes family announce the transition of Ms. Wanda W. Barnes, who answered the master's call on Sunday, July 16, 2023, in Garner, NC.

Services will be held Saturday, July 22, 2023, from the Hull Road FWB Church with Elder Kenneth Moore Jr. officiating. Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. will host their Ivy Beyond the Wall services from 11 to 11:30 am. The homegoing celebration will begin at 12 noon.  Burial will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park. A public visitation will be held from 4 to 6 pm Friday, July 21, 2023, from the Robert Swinson Jr. Memorial Chapel.

Left to cherish her memory are daughters Anjanette King of Garner, NC, and Montoria Barnes of Goldsboro, NC. Her brothers- Carlton A. Williams and Rodney L. Williams both from Kinston, NC. Sisters- Linda Williams and Gwendolyn Moseley, both of Kinston and Claudine Moseley of Roseville, NC.
