Attorney Willie C. Dawson, 63, of 102 Drummond Place, New Bern died Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at home. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 12, 2010 at St. James African Methodist Episcopal Church with the Rev. Georges Maize officiating. Burial will follow in Westview Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Shirley H. Dawson of the home; daughter Ursala Dawson of Raleigh; brother Jimmy Coples of Georgia; and sister Edna Washington of Kinston.
